Annual Big Daddy Fishing Event
At Santee State Park
Calling all kids 12 and under! Join us for our Annual Big Daddy Fishing Event. Moms, dads, grandparents - grab your pole and the kids and get ready to spend some quality time at Lake Marion. Goody bags will be provided by event sponsors and prizes will be awarded to children for different categories - catfish, panfish, bass, and most unusual catch. Only 3 fish may be entered per category. After a morning of fishing, participants can gather back at the picnic shelter to show off their catch and get their goodie-bag and a new rod and reel! Stick around to eat lunch.
If you get hot and tired, take a break and visit the ice cream truck, stop by the face painting station, or throw a ball and dunk a ranger at the dunk tank.

Event Hours
6am-8am check in at Tackle Shop.
Meeting Place
Check in at the Tackle Shop at Santee State Park between 6am-8am. Weigh-in will be at Shelter 1 at 3pm.
What to Bring
Water, insect repellent, sun block, and fishing gear.
