South Carolina State Parks Reservation System Upgrade FAQ 

Beginning March 24, 2025, South Carolina State Parks is transitioning to an upgraded reservation platform to allow our staff to better serve you. During this transition, there will be some temporary impacts to our services. Below are answers to common questions you might have: 

What is happening? 

We are undergoing scheduled maintenance to upgrade our reservation system platform. This will require our online reservation portal to be offline March 24-25. 

Why is this necessary? 

We have entered into a new contract with our reservation vendor and are transitioning to the latest platform. Before we migrate our reservation data, we must pause all reservation processes. 

What will change? 

The user experience on our website will remain similar. This update primarily focuses on the back end of the reservation system, streamlining staff processes and allowing us to better serve you.  

When will the reservation system be offline? 

The online reservation portal, will go offline at 12:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24.  

When will the reservation system come back online? 

We expect the online reservation portal to go live on Wednesday, March 26. 

Can I make, cancel, or modify reservations during this time? 

No, reservations cannot be made, cancelled, or modified while the system is offline. 

Will my future reservations still be in place? 

Yes, all reservations will remain valid.  

Will I still have access to my reservation history? 

Through Sunday, March 23, you can continue to access your reservation history online by visiting our reservation website and clicking My Account Login to search reservations booked using your email address. 

If you refer to your historic reservations when booking future trips, we recommend that you log in to access and save this information before March 24. Click here for detailed directions on how to access your reservation history.

In the new platform, you will be able to access reservation details for stays from March 25, 2025 forward, only.

Is the call center available during the transition? 

The call center will be available for questions; however, they will not be able to make, modify or cancel reservations during the time the reservation system is undergoing maintenance. 

How can I get assistance during the transition? 

Please keep in mind that no reservation changes can be made while the system is offline, even by staff members. However, for questions, please contact the Call Center by phone at 1-866-345-7275. 

What should I do if I need to make a reservation? 

Bear with us! No reservations can be changed, modified or cancelled while the system is offline. We recommend planning ahead and making any necessary reservations before March 24.
