It is a pleasure to have been making beads for more than 20 years. The jewelry I create is simple and eye-catching allowing the wearer to showcase her own uniqueness. I draw inspiration from the wonderful color palette and forms in nature, particularly the ocean and garden, and try to capture a sense of those places in my jewelry. I have been drawn to glass since I was a child and find it a wonderful medium to work in. I do not have any formal training in art, but rather began this process as a hobby that grew into a full-time venture. I’m pretty much self-taught and like with any other craft, I find the more you practice it, the better you get at it.
I work out of my home studio in St. Simons Island, Ga. and exhibit my work at various art shows. My schedule is posted on the home page of this site. I’m a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers and have had my work published in several trade publications and books.
