Beginner Paddle Skills
At Aiken State Park
Come out and learn the fundamentals of kayaking in a comfortable setting at Aiken State Park. This ranger-led class will teach you basic paddling skills such as water safety and paddle strokes in order to be safe and have fun on the water! Suggested items to bring: sunscreen, water, bug spray, weather-appropriate clothing Price is $25 per person. Registration and payment must be made in advance. Class size is limited, so register early. We will provide a single kayak, PFD, and paddle. Participants must be at least 8 years old and know how to swim. Program Dates: August 26th at 2:00pm-3:30pm September 30th at 2:00pm-3:30pm October 21st at 2:00pm-3:30pm

What to Bring
Water, sunscreen, clothes that can get wet including shoes that won't fall off, insect repellent, and sunglasses or hat.
