At Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site

Discover the many ways in which enslaved people took agency in their own lives in direct defiance of an enslaver’s claim to their lives, their bodies, and their labor. This special guided tour will be a no-holds barred discussion of the ways in which men and women enslaved in South Carolina and on the Hammond plantations RESISTED. The program takes place at the historic slave quarters and mansion. Program admission is $10/adults, $6/seniors, $5/children 6-16. This program is FREE for SC State Park Passport Plus holders. No registration required but the tour is limited to 25 people. Tour lasts just over an hour. Reservations accepted but not required.
