Virtual Animal Encounter

At Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site

Discover the Animal Forest without leaving your classroom. Zoo staff will help students explore the concepts of habitat and animal adaptations as they virtually observe the shorebirds and otters in their enclosures. Each program will consist of a 30 minute zoo staff experience with 10 minutes of follow up question time for teachers and students. Teachers will be sent a PDF worksheet for their students prior to the program as well as a list of curriculum standards addressed through this experience. Reservations are available for Wednesdays at 10:30am and 11:30am and must be made in advance. We will provide a Zoom meeting link when you schedule your program.
