Andrew Agha will outline his recent dissertation work which explores the ways Charles Towne was formalized through private property and the paradigm of English improvement. His interpretation of archaeological discoveries beginning in 1968 at Charles Towne Landing reveals a new, unique approach to understanding Carolina's origins.
