Blood Moon Over the Branch
At Hamilton Branch State Park
Come out and view the first Lunar Eclipse of 2019! Bring your camping chairs and watch as the moon turns red and disappears before your eyes! A telescope will be setup by park staff for your viewing pleasure. We encourage you to bring a camera and tripod to capture this event. Event subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.
We will be available starting at 9pm. At 10:34pm the partial eclipse starts, and from 11:40pm-12:44am the total lunar eclipse ("bloodmoon") will be viewable as long as the weather is clear.
What to Bring
Camera, personal telescope if you have one, flashlight for safe walking in the dark, and dress for the weather.
Call the park office for specific location.
