Watercolor Journaling with Amelia

At Santee State Park

Join Charleston, SC artist and illustrator Amelia Spade for an art class you won't forget - because you will have a watercolor journal recording it! Many people make travel or daily journals, but have you ever illustrated it to enhance your memories? Amelia will show you how to use this medium to create memorable travel journals at this provocative art class. Class size will be small to ensure Amelia's individual attention with the participants. Amelia's passion for art is seen in her work and her free time as a board member for the Charleston Artist Guild. She started watercolor works at an early age and has continued to explore the medium into adulthood. She recently illustrated the book "Little Miss P" by Anne Magill S. Payne about a little girl who loves dinosaurs. Her strengths lie in painting landscapes and strong expressions of color. She started small-scale travel paintings while working for the National Park Service in Grand Teton National Park, and while her love of the American West remains, she devotes much of her work now to natural Lowcountry scenes. The program price includes 3 sessions of instruction, all painting supplies, and a boat tour on Lake Marion with Fisheagle Wildlife Tours. If you want to stay in a park cabin during the program, use promo code ARTSANTEE19 to save 20% off your stay! The program activities will be Sunday from 4pm-6pm and Monday 9am-5pm. Check out of your cabin on Tuesday, or stay an extra day and start a new journal entry!
