Yoga in the Park with Cheryl Mason
At Santee State Park
Experience the healing benefits of yoga and spending time in nature. Cheryl Mason, owner of Lake Marion Compassionate Yoga and a registered 500-hour yoga instructor, will lead you through three yoga sessions using multiple yoga methods and introduce you to Shrinrin-yoku Forest Therapy, the medicine of simply being in nature. Each morning Cheryl will offer a chair yoga class for participants with mobility challenges as well as a mat class for stronger and more stable participants. Monday will close with a relaxation yoga nidra class for all. No previous yoga experience is necessary to participate. Participants in the mat class will need to bring their own yoga mat. The program cost is $150, which includes all yoga instruction and a boat tour with Fisheagle Wildlife Tours on Sunday afternoon. Register by January 7 for a $15 discounted price of $135. Stay in a park cabin during the program. Use promo code YOGA19 to save 15% when you make your cabin reservation.
Arrive at the boat ramp no later than 1:45pm Sunday for the boat tour with Fisheagle Wildlife Tours. Yoga class schedules will be distributed by the instructor, but plan on 2 morning yoga sessions and a relaxation session Monday night. Check out of your park cabin by 10am Tuesday morning if you are staying on-site.
