At Hamilton Branch State Park

Learn to take pictures of the night sky! Astrophotography is difficult to master, but has beautiful rewards when you do. This program will give you the foundational skills to start taking pictures of the moon, stars, and the Milky Way Galaxy! Call the park now to reserve your spot as the program is limited to 15 participants. The program will be cancelled for clouds and bad weather.

    What to Bring

    Technical equipment: DSLR camera (recommended), digital camera with a manual mode to change the ISO setting and exposure time, DSLR camera lens 50mm or smaller aperture, sturdy camera tripod. Personal supplies: snack, water, insect repellent, closed-toe shoes, and a flashlight.
