Well this is your chance to learn about the perfect storm of events that allowed the rice industry to thrive and prosper in South Carolina. From the knowledge of enslaved Africans to the tidal Santee River, this is a great chance to learn the ins and outs of growing rice. You will even have a chance to process rice the way it was done in the early 1700s.
