History in the Making - CCC Company 4475

At Chester State Park

Do you remember when Chester State Park was built? As part of Black History Month, this program will show how CCC Company 4475, an all African-American unit, and two other CCC companies built Chester State Park. We will start with a slide presentation showing the construction of the park during the 1930s and for those interested, we will take a short hike to see some of the structures that are still in existence today.
