An Evening with the Slave Dwelling Project

At Hampton Plantation State Historic Site

Join us for a rare opportunity spend the night at Hampton Plantation and reflect on the stories and contributions of the enslaved people who lived and labored at Hampton Plantation. Joined by interpreters with the Slave Dwelling Project, this is a chance to learn about plantation history on the ground level! Unscripted discussion around the fire, dinner, and time with professionals from the field will make this a night to remember! A catered dinner is included with your reservation, provided by the Friends of Hampton Plantation. Participants are responsible for providing all of their own camping equipment (tents only, no campers), snacks, and chairs. Please note that the consumption and display of alcohol is prohibited in South Carolina State Parks. Space is limited, reservations required.
