An Evening with the Slave Dwelling Project

At Hampton Plantation State Historic Site

Join us for a rare opportunity spend the night at Hampton Plantation and reflect on the stories and contributions of the enslaved who lived and labored at Hampton Plantation. Joined by members of the Slave Dwelling Project; Joseph McGill, Donatavious Williams, and Christine Mitchell, this is a rare opportunity to learn about plantation history on the ground level! Unscripted discussion around the fire, dinner, and time with professionals from the field will make this a night to remember! A catered BBQ Dinner is included with your reservation. Participants are responsible for providing all of their own camping equipment, snacks, and chairs. Please note that the consumption and display of alcohol is prohibited in South Carolina State Parks. Space is limited, reservations required.
