At Hampton Plantation State Historic Site

Experience Hampton Plantation on the ground level! Join a ranger for a 1.1 mile guided hike through the grounds of the plantation. This easy hike will take you through 300 years of plantation history. From the construction of massive rice fields by slaves to Archibald Rutledge's garden, you will learn how the people of Hampton have interacted with the landscape throughout its history.

  • Event Hours

    This tour occurs on the first Saturday of every month. From April to October the tour begins at 11AM. From November through March the tour begins at 1PM. The tour will last roughly 1 hour.

    What to Bring

    Water, good walking shoes, bug repellent, and dress for the weather.


    Double Tour Special: Includes the grounds tour and a tour of the mansion house. Adults: $10 Children (Ages 6-15): $5 SC Senior (Age 65+): $5


    Admission for the tour is $7.50 for adults, $3.50 for children (6-15), and $3.75 for SC Senior Citizens (65+)
