The vast maritime forests of the Grand Strand have virtually disappeared with the development of the 20th century. The South Carolina Heritage Trust Site at Myrtle Beach State Park protects a remnant of that forest. Touch, see, hear, and smell your way through this special forest as we learn about the diversity of plants and animals that call this unique and rare habitat home. We will walk about 1/2 mile as we enjoy a stroll down the Sculptured Oak and Yaupon Nature Trails. Appropriate for ages 10 to 110. Please leave your pets at home and no smoking allowed.
Tuesday, December 26 or until program books up. Online registration is required and once capacity is reached (20 participants), registration will close. Registration Policy: Please ensure your confirmation has the correct program and date. We may ask to see the confirmation email upon arrival (screenshot or printed). Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be given due to participant cancellations. Weather Policy: Our programs will go on rain or shine, but we reserve the right to cancel scheduled programs for inclement weather which may include lightning, thunder, or other severe weather conditions that the staff deem potentially dangerous or unconducive to activities. In the event of the park cancelling a program, you may ask for a refund, by 4:30 pm the following day of the program, by emailing email@example.com or calling 843-238-0874 with the registered name and the program. We thank you in advance for any donations to help fund educational programs.
