French Huguenots of the South Santee

Join us at Hampton Plantation for a lecture by Cheves Leland and Susan Bates, authors of "French Santee: A Huguenot Settlement in Colonial South Carolina" as they tell the story of the French Santee. Settled by protestant refugees in the late 1600s, the French Santee developed into one of the most prosperous areas of rural South Carolina.
