Halloween and Fall Festivities

October 22, 2022
- Join Rose Hill Plantation for Carolina Tales & Beyond on October 22 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. This program is $10 per person (age 6 and older) and reservations are required. Contact the park by October 19 to reserve your spot.
- Croft will be having a Halloween event on October 22 from 2 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. Check out all of their activities, here.
- Lake Hartwell will be having a Halloween event on October 22 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Admission is $5.00 per car.
- Oconee State Park will be having their Halloween event on October 22.
October 27-28, 2022
- Join Redcliffe Plantation October 27-29 for their Beyond the Gravestone program. During this program, guests will be able to visit the Hammond cemetery, which is typically closed to the public outside of programs. The cemetery will be open from 5:45 p.m.-6:30 p.m.. There will be a presentation in the mansion beginning at 6:45pm.This program is $10 per person and pre-registration is required. For more information, click here. - Lake Greenwood State Park is having a S'more Social Bonfire on October 28!
October 29, 2022
- Hampton Plantation is hosting a Legends and Lore program on October 22 and 29 at 12 p.m. and 2p.m. This tour includes the history of the house as well as a storytelling session about the haunts of Hampton. Tickets are $10 and can be bought ahead of time or on the day of the event. For more information, click here.
- Dreher Island is hosting a pirate themed Boo Bash on October 29 from 3 p.m. until dark. For a full list of activities, click here.
- Baker Creek is having a Camper Crawl on October 29 from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.. For more information, click here.
- Hamilton Branch will be having their annual Halloween event on October 29 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. For details, click here.

- On October 29, Lake Greenwood State Park is having Halloween Jingo from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Halloween Crafts from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., and Trick-or-Treating in their campgrounds from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.!
- Lee State Park will have Trick-or-Treating on October 29, 2022 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Campers can also BYO pumpkin for Pumpkin Carving from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m., make sure to register ahead!

October 30, 2022
- Baker Creek is hosting a community Trunk-or-Treat at the Pavilion. For more information, click here.
- Sesquicentennial is hosting their annual Howl-O-Ween on October 30 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.. Dress up your furry friends for the pet costume contest and stick around for a dog training demo at 3 p.m. by the Alliance of Force Free Animal Professionals.
Bat Week Events
- Join bat biologists at Hampton Plantation on October 21 and 22 at 6 p.m. for Bat Ecology! Visitors can watch as they set nets to capture bats and attach tracking devices. The event is free but please call the office to pre-register. For more information, click here.
- Hampton Plantation will be hanging out with Rafinesque Big-Eared Bats on October 22 at 1 p.m.. Join us to learn more about the bats that make Hampton Plantation their home!
- Myrtle Beach State Park is Batty over Bats! Join us on October 22 and 29 at 1 p.m. for a craft and to learn more about bats. The program is $2 per craft in addition to park admission. Space is limited, reserve your spot in advance, here.
- Join us at Table Rock State Park as we give our attention to the worlds only flying mammal in "Going Batty." Learn about bat behavior, why bats are important, how to attract them and more. Hopefully we can watch them leave a roost box at dusk to forage for insects. This program is on October 27 at 6:30 p.m. and is free with park admission.
- Join us for Nature at Night at Sesquicentennial State Park on October 28 at 6:30 p.m.. Participants will find out what's up when the sun goes down! Look for animal eye shine, listen for nocturnal clamors and calls and try your hand at some of the skills nighttime critters need to survive. This is a family night hike that includes seeing bats in action as they come out to feed! This program is $5 per participant in addition to park admission. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Reserve your spot in advance, here.
- Join us at Myrtle Beach State Park for Bat Chat on October 29 from 5:45 p.m. until 7 p.m. as we eavesdrop on bats as they hunt for insects. In addition to park admission, this program is $5 per person. Capacity is limited to 20 participants, reserve you spot in advance, here.
