Meet a Park Ranger
The park ranger embodies the message of stewardship and service that runs through the
SC State Park Service, and the hat and badge that the park ranger wears have long been the icons of this organization.
At over 150 members strong, the park ranger is charged with conserving, protecting and interpreting the state's natural and cultural resources, and stands ready to assist and serve the customers of the 47 South Carolina State Parks.
Each month we will interview a different ranger who takes pride in their work, and has a unique story of why they became a park ranger.
And maybe, just maybe, the next time you're at their park you can stop and ask them a question of your very own!
