PARK ADVISORY

On Saturday, April 27 we will have drop-in house tours from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. No registration required, $10/Adults, $6/SC Seniors 65+, $5/Kids 6-16.

Tours of the historic slave quarters and mansion are offered Thursday-Monday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Reservations are not required but strongly encouraged as there are limited spots. Please call the park office to make a reservation for a tour.

Guided Tours of the Historic Structures available: Thursday-Monday at 11 a.m. 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Access to the mansion is only available on a guided tour.

10 a.m. - 11 a.m., daily. Please note that on Tuesdays and Wednesdays park rangers are often out on the grounds.

Things To Do

  • House Tours:  Please check the travel advisory for information on access to the historic structures. 
  • Park Store/Gift Shop: The gift shop primarily features a selection of books on the Hammond family of Redcliffe and antebellum history. Postcards and t-shirts with Redcliffe artwork are also available. The gift shop is located in the basement of the historic mansion.

  • Bird Watching: The historic grounds of Redcliffe are home to many species of birds including the Indigo Bunting, Pileated Woodpecker, Barred Owl, Red-Tailed Hawk, Great Blue Heron, Eastern Screech Owl, Wild Turkey and the Carolina Wren.

  • Geocaching: Geocaching is permitted. Several geocaches are located on the park. For more information visit the official geocaching website.

  • Birding: Yes
  • Hiking Trails: Redcliffe offers a 1.7 mile hiking trail through the woods of the property. Halfway along the trail you will be able to view the property’s historic pond. Fishing and swimming not permitted.
