Picnic Area and Shelters: A picnic shelter are available for family or other group gatherings. Each shelter may be reserved for $25-32/day.
If shelter is not reserved, guests may use it on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.
Note: Admission fee is not included in shelter price. Rates listed do not include applicable tax and nonrefundable transaction fee.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Education Center: The Lockkeeper’s House was relocated from Dearborne Island and restored for use as a museum.
The house includes exhibits and displays on South Carolina canals and is open by appointment.
TRAILS

Interpretive Trails: The Canal Trail includes interpretive signs and carries hikers for 1½-miles (one-way) along the historic tow path of the canal which includes the foundations of an early 1800 mill site. This trail connects to a half-mile nature trail.
Eagle Point Trail is about 1/4 mile long and goes down the hill behind the museum. "Trail information and map."
