Things To Do



  • Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in the Enoree River or in the park pond. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.

    Tackle Loaner Program: This park participates in the Tackle Loaner Program sponsored by the SC Dept. of Natural Resources. Rods and reels are available for loan at the park office at no cost.

  • Boating and Boat Access: The site maintains a canoe and kayak launch on the Enoree River. Information on local take-outs and launches is available in the park’s Visitor Center.

  • Picnic Area and Shelters: If shelter is not reserved, guests may use shelter on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge. The picnic area behind the pond cannot be reserved but is available daily on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge. To make a picnic shelter reservation, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or make it online by clicking on Park Reservation button located on this page.
  • Park Store/Gift Shop: The gift shop is located in the Visitor Center and includes books on the American Revolution, t-shirts, Colonial children's toys, period crafts, stuffed animals, flags, postcards and other itemsThe gift shop is located in the Visitor Center and includes books on the American Revolution, t-shirts, Colonial children's toys, period crafts, stuffed animals, flags, postcards and other items.

  • Picnic Shelters: Yes
  • Bird Watching: Bird watching is permitted on the park. Various birds can be seen throughout the grounds. Birds seen year-round in the park are Wild Turkeys, Great Horned Owls, Bald Eagles, Red Tailed Hawks, Vultures, Cardinals, Carolina Wrens, Eastern Bluebirds, Great Blue Heron, and Pileated, Downy, Hairy, and Red Headed Woodpeckers. Birds seen seasonally are the Louisiana Waterthrush, Yellow-Billed Cuckoo, Ruby Throated Hummingbirds, White Breasted and Brown Headed Nuthatches, Scarlet and Summer Tanagers, Belted Kingfisher, and many Warblers and Sparrows.

  • Geocaching: Geocaching is permitted. Several geocaches are located on the park. For more information visit the official geocaching website. Visitors are not allowed to place new geocaches within the Park.

  • Other Facilities and Activities: Horseshoe Falls is also located within the Park. The overlook of this small, but beautiful waterfall is easily accessible by a paved ADA walkway.
