Devils Fork is OPEN.  Boat-in campsites and the Oconee Bell Trail will remain closed.



Due to heavy visitation on week-ends and holidays, expect long lines when entering the park, especially from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will post on this site when Devils Fork State Park is at parking capacity. We appreciate your patience in advance!

Beginning January 1, 2020, pets will be allowed in villas 1-5. These will be designated as our pet friendly villas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Pets are not allowed in the villas or villa area prior to January 1, 2020.

Camping

  • Laundry Facility: Yes (closed December - February)
  • Camping Information: Two campgrounds are located near the shores of Lake Jocassee. Restrooms with hot showers are conveniently located in the campgrounds. Two vehicles are permitted per campsite. One vehicle per designated tent and boat in site. Additional vehicles will be charged $20.00 per vehicle per day to park in the overflow parking area. Overflow parking for campers is located at the entrance of the non-motorized access area.

    Camping check in time is 2pm and check out time is 12pm. Late arrival instructions will be emailed to the email address provided when the reservation is made.

  • Camping Reservations: To make a camping reservation or view current rates, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or visit our reservations page by clicking here. Rates vary by season and demand and are subject to change.

    Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights.

    Reservations requested less than one (1) day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park.

    For example:
    If today is Friday and you are making a reservation checking in on today, Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.
  • Standard Sites with Elec. & Water: The main lakeside campground at Devils Fork State Park features 59 paved sites with water and electrical hook-ups. Some of these sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet.

    Each standard campsite also has one 12' by 12' tent pad. A maximum of two tents may be placed on the tent pad or paved surface per campsite. No tents may be placed on the ground. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.

    A central dump station is available along the main campground road for motor homes and RV's, as well as centrally located trash and recycling containers. Pets are allowed in the main campground area if they are on a leash at all times and must not be a nuisance to other campers.

    All campers, vehicles, trailers, motorhomes, etc, must remain on paved surfaces.

  • Designated Tent Sites: While tent campers may use the sites with water and electrical hookups, there is also a designated rustic tent camping area.

    These walk-in campsites are designated for tent camping only, and are only a short walk from a central parking area. There are 25 elevated tent pads, one per campsite, and a maximum of one tent can be pitched on each 12' x 12' tent pad. No tents may be placed on the ground.

    These sites include a picnic table and a fire ring, but do not include electrical or water hook-ups. Water spigots and restrooms are located adjacent to the walk-in tent parking area.

  • Boat In Camping: Boat-in backcountry campsites are located on the northern shore of Lake Jocassee at the base of Musterground Mountain. The area is accessible only by boat and is open seasonally. Combination fire rings/grill pits are provided. There is a total of 25 boat-in backcountry campsites, all of which are in the same general area and require a short moderate hike.

    Please remember if you pack it in, pack it out. Campers are asked to follow internationally recognized "leave no trace" camping practices.
