Still looking for a spot at the lake this spring or summer? Reservations are now available for Campground 2 at Calhoun Falls through Labor Day 2024. Due to unforeseen project delays, the campground’s planned renovation is now expected to begin Fall 2024. We apologize for this delay and appreciate your understanding. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you at the park!


Wi-Fi is now available at the park!  Visitors can access it at the park office and day-use beach area.  It is not available in the campgrounds!

Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

Cedar Bluff Nature Trail

Length: 1.75 mile loop

Type: Hiking Trail

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Description: This rolling 1.7 mile blue blazed loop trail begins at the trailhead near the tennis courts in Calhoun Falls State Park. You will descend wooden steps into a mixed pine and hardwood forest bordering scenic Lake Russell. As you loop toward the lake, you will discover unexpected vistas as you hike up and down gentle hills and across numerous footbridges. At the far end of the loop, you can take a spur trail to the camping area, or continue and return to the tennis courts.
