The World’s Largest Population of Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies

Landsford Canal State Park is home to the world’s largest population of Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies. Celebrate the peak bloom of this rare wildflower at Lily Fest 2008. The festivity includes food, music and other park activities. A short walk down Canal Trail at Landsford Canal State Park takes you to an overlook where you will see the wonderland of spider lily beauty.

 

The Oconee Bell

 

Home to the Oconee Bell

 The Oconee Bell, one of South Carolina’s earliest wildflowers, makes its debut in mid- March and usually shows off its blossom through early April. Colonies of the Oconee bells blooming in all its splendor can be seen along the Oconee Bell Trail at Devils Fork State Park, a gateway to the Jocassee Gorges.
